Ryan is from Davenport, IA and received his undergraduate degree from Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, IA (1998-2002) with a B.A. in Exercise Science. After graduation, he was a personal trainer and class instructor and found that it was not his calling in a short three months. Ryan then decided to attend Scott Community College (2002-2004) where he received his training in Neurodiagnostics, which led him to Minnesota Epilepsy Group in St. Paul, MN (2004-2007). At Minnesota Epilepsy Group, he furthered his expertise in LTM, ECoG, IONM, and management and supervision while also becoming triple boarded in EEG, EP, and IOM.

Ryan now resides in Indianapolis and works for Methodist Hospital of Clarian Health as the Neurophysiology Lab Department Coordinator (2007-Current). Ryan currently is an ABRET Exam Item Writer, ASET News IOM Section Writer, and on the ASET AdHoc Committee for developing LTM job descriptions. He has previously been an ABRET Board Examiner and has been a CSET Program Director in 2007 and will be again in 2008. His next endeavor is to attain a Master’s Degree in Psychology and sit for the American Board of Neurophysiological Monitoring Examination.
